Muscular Dystrophy Muscular Dystrophy is the name of a group of muscles disorders that are characterized by progressive weakness and voluntary muscles that control body movement. As the muscle tissue weakens it is replaced by fatty and connective tissue. Anyone can be affected. Muscular district a is not an exclusive childhood disorder. Genetic diseases are not contagious. Each form Of Muscular Dystrophy is caused by an problem in a specific gene associated with muscle function. Although there is no cure for Muscular Dystrophy as yet psysiotherapy, and occupational therapy can help people maximize levels of independence, in their daily living routine.
